Wellness Disclaimer & Guest Safety
Welcome to Quechua Spirit Healing Retreat. Before you embark on this sacred journey, please review our wellness disclaimer and safety guidelines ensuring an informed and harmonious experience for all guests.

The Nature of Our Experiences
Our experiences are rooted in traditional Andean cosmology and ceremonial practices. These are spiritual, educational, and cultural journeys intended for personal reflection and community connection.
Not Medical or Mental Health Treatment
Quechua Spirit Healing Retreat provides spiritual and traditional practices only. Our practitioners are not licensed physicians, mental health professionals, or medical therapists. Our offerings are not a substitute for professional medical care.

No Guaranteed Outcomes
Spiritual growth and healing are deeply personal and nonlinear processes. Quechua Spirit Healing Retreat makes no claims, promises, or guarantees regarding specific results or health improvements.
Informed & Voluntary Participation
Participation in any ceremony, activity, or session is entirely voluntary. By registering, you acknowledge that you are assuming all responsibility for your own well-being.

Emotional & Psychological Considerations
Retreat environments can be emotionally evocative. If you are under psychiatric care, we recommend consulting with your professional care provider before attending.
Optional Experiences & Enhanced Safety Screening
Certain intensive experiences or add-on private sessions may require additional health and safety screening. We reserve the right to decline participation in specific activities for any guest if we believe it is in the best interest of their physical or psychological safety.
CACAO CEREMONIES
Cacao contains theobromine, which can increase heart rate. Persons with serious heart conditions or those taking high doses of antidepressants (especially SSRIs and MAOIs) should consume with caution or consult a physician first.
SOUND HEALING EXPERIENCES
Sound baths involve vibrational frequencies that may be overstimulating for individuals with certain neurological conditions, sensitive hearing, or those who find intense sensory input evocating of past trauma.
SWEAT LODGE, HEAT & COLD-WATER EXPERIENCES
These involve extreme temperatures. Guests with cardiovascular issues, blood pressure concerns, respiratory conditions, or those who are pregnant must obtain medical clearance.
MASSAGE & BODYWORK
It is the guest's responsibility to disclose any injuries, recent surgeries, or sensitivities to the practitioner prior to the start of the session.
SAN PEDRO OR OTHER PLANT-MEDICINE CEREMONIES
If offered, these sessions are strictly elective and require deep prerequisite health screening. Absolute contraindications include certain heart conditions, severe psychological instability, and specific pharmaceutical interactions. You must provide a full medical disclosure to participate.
Understanding Practitioner Roles
Our practitioners serve as spiritual facilitators and cultural bridge-builders. They are lineage carriers dedicated to the preservation of Andean wisdom. While their work is deeply therapeutic in a spiritual sense, it is distinct from clinical psychology, medicine, or licensed psychiatry. They do not assume responsibility for clinical mental healthcare.
Your Healthcare Remains Your Responsibility
Attending a retreat is a personal choice to step outside of your everyday medical and psychological support systems. You are solely responsible for continuing your prescribed medications and maintaining communication with your licensed healthcare providers during your time away. Please do not alter any medically prescribed treatment plan without the express guidance of your doctor.
Meals & Individual Dietary Considerations
We strive to provide nourishing, wholesome meals that support the energetic work of the retreat. While we can accommodate many common dietary restrictions (e.g., vegetarian, gluten-free), we are not a dedicated medical facility. Guests with life-threatening food allergies or highly specialized medical diets must contact us well in advance to ensure their needs can be met safely.
Respecting Every Guest
The retreat container relies on mutual respect, confidentiality, and kindness. Any behavior that compromises the emotional or physical safety of other guests, staff, or practitioners will be addressed immediately. We reserve the right to ask a guest to leave the retreat without a refund if their conduct is disruptive or harmful.
When Additional Assistance Is Needed
If a situation arises where our staff determines a guest requires professional medical or psychiatric care, we will facilitate contact with local emergency services. Any costs associated with medical treatment, extraction, or hospitalization are the sole responsibility of the guest.
Understanding Activity-Specific Risks
Whether hiking to local waterfalls, participating in fire ceremonies, or engaging in intense breathwork, all retreat activities carry inherent risks. By participating, you acknowledge these risks and waive liability for Quechua Spirit Healing Retreat and its associates regarding accidents or personal outcomes arising from these activities.
Meaning Without Promises
Every journey to the Andes is unique. We provide a sacred space and traditional tools for you to rediscover your own inner wisdom. Your findings are yours alone. We celebrate your path without ever claiming to define where it leads or how quickly you will arrive at your destination.
